Through
research, development and educational partnership arrangements, New
Jersey Institute of Technology and a wide array of high technology
organizations have been propelling the people and industry of the
state and nation toward an improved quality of life in the 21st
century.
NJIT Academic Departments and Continuing Professional
Education are contributing to this momentum, too, by conducting
COLLABORATIVE GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
customized to a particular organization’s needs and designed to help
keep highly technical workforces at the pinnacle of innovation and
productivity.
High technology
organizations engage professional workforces who, on a daily basis,
practice the very academic subjects on which NJIT's laurels for
excellence rest. This has led the university to develop
COLLABORATIVE GRADUATE and UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS in
various domains including Homeland Security and Emergency
Management.
Currently available
Homeland Security-related programs:
NJIT has been certified by the
Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) and the
National Security Agency as a
Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education
for 2006-2009.

NJIT has been designated by the Governor of New Jersey as the
leader of the
NJ
Homeland Security Technology Systems Center, advising all state law
enforcement agencies and private organizations on homeland security
matters.
